Safety guidelines
Fireworks can cause serious injury if misused. Please follow these basic rules.
- Fireworks are for adults. Children must only use them under direct adult supervision.
- Use fireworks outdoors only, in an open area away from buildings, vehicles, dry grass, and anything flammable.
- Read and follow the instructions printed on each product before lighting it.
- Keep a bucket of water or a sand bucket nearby, and keep a safe distance from lit fireworks.
- Light one firework at a time. Never lean over a firework, and never hold a lit firework in your hand (except sparklers meant for that).
- Never relight a firework that did not go off. Wait at least 15 minutes, then soak it in water.
- Never carry fireworks in your pockets or point them at people, animals, or property.
- Do not use fireworks after drinking alcohol.
- Store fireworks in a cool, dry place, away from heat, flames, and children.
- Follow all local laws and restrictions on buying, storing, and using fireworks.
